Protest against the attacks on housing benefit

Protest as Parliament votes on housing benefit – TOMORROW
The government’s proposals on housing (cuts to housing benefit, rent increases and a threat to secure tenancies) will decimate working class communities and threaten to make hundreds of thousands homeless.  Already local authorities in London are booking up Bed & Breakfasts in surrounding areas ready to ‘deport’ those who can no longer pay the rent.
There has been an outcry over these attacks, especially the cuts to housing benefit, with even Boris Johnson complaining of ‘Kosovo-style social cleansing’.
TOMORROW there will be a vote in Parliament over the housing benefit cuts.
Defend Council Housing has called a protest outside Parliament:
5:30pm, Tomorrow, Tuesday 9th November, College Green (opp. Parliament), London SW1
